Yes, I’m the perfect woman…..

Today’s Daily Prompt subject is “Trading Places”. To wit: “Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a member of the opposite sex for a day? What do you think life would be like?”

Well, actually I have. And I think a typical day would go something like this:

6:00 AM – Get up to go to market early for freshest fruit to fix hubby’s fruit cup.

7:00 AM – Arrive home to fix fruit cup, begin eggs Benedict and grind beans for fresh coffee.

8:00 AM – Gently wake hubby and start nice hot bath for him. Have freshly ironed clothes laid out for him.

9:00 AM – Enjoy nice breakfast. Remain quiet so as not to disturb hubby as he reads paper. Clean dishes and tidy up kitchen.

10:00 AM – Finish polishing hubby’s golf shoes for his round today. Make sure to pack nice lunch for him and slip it in his golf bag along with love note.

12:00 PM – Pick up hubby’s clothes and straighten out his office. Take inventory of supplies to shop for so hubby doesn’t suddenly run out of anything.

1:00 – 3:00 PM – Shop for sweet little gift for the man of the house. Run to cleaners for hubby’s stuff. Pick up plenty of beer and snacks for hubby’s poker club this evening.

4:00 PM – Have icy mint julep waiting for hubby as he returns from grueling day on golf course. Tell him how much you love him no matter how poorly he played.

5:00 PM – Prepare pheasant under glass and escargot dinner. Try to do it quietly as hubby watches evening news.

7:00 PM – Put rose petals on bed and put perfume on lingerie for later.

7:30 PM – Greet hubby’s poker pals and cater poker game as necessary. Put out plenty of ash trays for cigars.

11:30 PM – Clean up from poker night and start dishwasher.

12:00 AM – Retire with hubby to make earth shake and heavens fall.

12:01 AM – As hubby falls asleep, start thinking about tomorrow’s meals.

Wow. That was exhausting. It really makes me glad I’m a guy.

    • What about my post makes everyone ridicule me so? Was it the pheasant under glass and escargot part? OK, if I changed that to sloppy joes, would that help?
