Over at Cee’s blog she asks questions every week to which her readers respond. Bless her heart, when she originated this personal and well-intended feature, I’m sure she didn’t realize that there were wise-asses like me lurking in the blogophere. Since it is apparent she is also a glutton for punishment, I once more post my answers here. Sorry, Cee (again).
1. What would be your preference, awake before dawn or awake before noon?
A. Dawn or noon…. macht nichts. At my age, any time I awaken is cause for great celebration.
2. If you could choose between Wisdom and Luck, which one would you pick?
A. This one is easy. Andrew Luck. He’s one of the best quarterbacks to ever play in the National Football League. As for Wisdom, I don’t recognize the name. Who does he play for?
3. If you were given the opportunity for free skydiving lessons would you take them?
A. I answer this with a resounding negatrons!
Why or why not?
A. I once rode the parachute drop at Coney Island when I was a teenager. It took them two hours to clean up the seat afterward. Enough said.
4. Is the glass half empty or half full?
A. Actually, it’s a clay beer stein so I can’t see the level of the liquid.
What is in the glass?
A. Three guesses. (Hint: it ain’t water).
5. Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week?
A. Awakening every day between dawn and noon.
What are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
A. Awakening every day between dawn and noon.
That’s it. But two questions for Cee. Why do you keep tempting me with these questions? Are you the devil?
So funny, Al!
You shot yourself in the foot with questions 6 & 7 Al, and answered question 1. You clearly prefer awakening after Dawn and before Noon… As long as you don’t move to within the arctic circle you should be pretty OK 🙂 (unless of course Noon or Dawn have had a heavy night and oversleep)
Very clever. I hadn’t even thought about the double entendre in those names…..but you know me way too well.
As ever your answers are interesting. With regard to the “Glass half full or empty” question my answer is half empty and getting emptier by the sip. Oh yes, this is the life, open another bottle. Sorry, getting carried away now.
Good answers. I will have to check out this Dee. Another friend gave different answers.
Good. I don’t believe she is speaking to me.
I’ll come back with my thoughts, on these questions when I wake up. I think I will wait until after Dawn, does anyone know where she is?
Ouch
Those questions involve too much thinking. I’m not a fan of thinking. I’m more of a “huh?” person. Good going Al….loved your answers. Wonder if Cee will like them.
My husband says “macht nichts” all the time. For some reason that seemed important to share.
Think it might be a BIT premature to declare Andrew Luck to be one of the greatest. Yes, he’s off to a nice start, but there are miles to go before we sleep.
Problem is, she didn’t ask for a choice between Wisdom or Manning (or Rodgers, or Brady etc.)
Still, you could have chosen Luck without using hyperbole.
Barring injury, he’ll be at the top of the list some day. He’s a natural. FYI, I’m not a Colts fan.
Who is this Hy Perboly ? Does he play for the Redskins?
LOL, Dianne.
Oh Al I am glad you are still on your perch my Bro, and I laughed out loud with your answers… Xx
That must be why people call be a “rare bird.”
Al, at least you could be honest. You would never allow your beer stein to get past half anything, which is probably why you make sure to wake up . 😉
You should sign up for the daily prompts on WP and spoof those. I’d love to see your quintessential Al smartassiness in response to those! 🙂
I’m on thin ice with the editors of WP already, Lorna. I’m pretty sure they forward all my posts to the NSA.
I’m on broken ice with the AARP. They don’t send me email newsletters anymore. I made too much fun of them or something. Sheesh. You’s think they would like the publicity. Wait, they don’t need the publicity…
Good idea!!
