Thought for Thursday….. Posted on April 3, 2014 by Al “A penny saved is a penny earned belongs to the government.” Rate this:Share this:FacebookTwitterEmailPrintLike this:Like Loading... Related
I wish this wasn’t so.
I hope you get to spend some of your hard earned pennies today celebrating your Wedding Anniversary. May your day be blessed with love and peace. If you have those things, nothing else really matters.
Thank you so much for those sentiments, Marie. I’m a lucky guy and I knew it from day one. 46 years today. Can you imagine living with a wise-ass like me for that long?
Far better than living with a bore! You are a lucky sod, we were given just under 21 years!
Been working on your taxes lately? What fun!
Yes. And I’ve claimed the U.S. Government as a dependent.
A penny saved…will soon be a collectors item when they stop making them.
I think the gov’t should take all the old pennies and pay off the national debt to the Chinese with them.
Your little rebel over here hears you…x
Thought you would….
At least they don’t spend all their money, or my money on cakes and sausages, and those lovely bacon rolls with a hint of brown sauce in them like what I do, or at least I hope they don’t.
No, here in the states they spend it on the President’s vacations and golf games.
what to me is even worse..is the fact that state pension is taxed the same as earning when the tax has already been paid at the time it was earned before it was deducted as National Insurance which is supposed to provide the money to pay State pension. Seems to me that whichever way you go they get you…
If I’m not mistaken, here in the states the 14th amendment deals with “double taxation” but as our current President has shown, laws are only to be followed if you agree with them. Our estate tax is definitely double taxation. We are taxing the beneficiary of an estate on money that was taxed when the decedent earned it. I guess they get around that by saying “you” haven’t been taxed on it yet. Semantics.
If you follow the government rules you have to walk a crooked line because to deal with them they don’t do anything straight or that makes any sense. It’s a fucking shame I have to dispute my own innocence. I have to show proof on my tax return that I did no wrong and I was following their rules to the T or they will take ever penny I earned. That is what I call excessive . Taxing me before and after. Morons.
Yet we keep putting these fools in office. Who is really to blame?
I didn’t vote for Obama. And his darn tax program sucks. All he did was give more deductions, raised the tax rate so these IRS WORKERS can find more ways to screw it up like a bear don’t shit in the woods or what. I’m Dixie, rebel, tea party, redneck and Texas revolutionary all the way. Texas has enough voters and seats in the House to succeed from the Union. I’m all for an independent state. Go Texas! I already signed the petition.
Then you might want to read my other blog (which I haven’t posted on since the 2012 election) http://politicalprisms.wordpress.com/.
I think we may have some common ground.
Ah sure the poor governments (everywhere) need our money to pay exorbitant expenses!
PS I hope you are eating cake in honour of my niece. She claims to be 109 years old today!!!
What?? She doesn’t look a day over 90!
